Adding Menus To TapTheme iPad

When you first install TapTheme iPad, the template will appear empty! Don't worry, we'll cover how to add menus here.

TapTheme iPad comes with multiple module positions for menus. TapTheme iPad uses Joomla's default mod_menu module, so there's nothing extra to install.

Step 1:

Create your menu(s) and menu items. If you need help doing this, refer to this previous tutorial in which we created a Home Page menu.

Step 2:

Go to Extensions -> Module Manager. Edit the menu you'd like to place in a particular position. The available menu module positions are:

  • pad-status
    This position is located in the very top black status bar
  • pad-menu
    This is the main top menu position
  • pad-panel
    This is the homepage icon menu position covered in this tutorial
  • pad-side
    This is the Sidebar position which can house menus or any other module. When the iPad is in the portrait orientation, the sidebar will be hidden until the down arrow in the top menu is tapped.
